The Lost Soundscape of London’s Trees

Worldwide, the burgeoning of urbanisation has dramatically affected the diversity of native wildlife species and their populations. In London, as elsewhere, evidence of this phenomenon can be heard in its soundscape, as acoustic niches transform with the disappearance or flourishing of species.

As participants near the old tree’s stump, the voices London’s absent tree dwelling animals are awakened, and it’s enchanting native soundscape, brought back to life.
